Power Plant Apprentice-Electric & Gas Instrument Technician OR Journey-Electrician & Instrument Technician

• *Overview:**
The City of Tallahassee is seeking a highly skilled Power Plant Apprentice-Electric & Gas Instrument Technician or Journey-Electrician & Instrument Technician to join our Electric & Gas Utility team. This position is responsible for installing, calibrating, repairing, adjusting, inspecting, and performing preventative maintenance on electrical power plant equipment and power plant instrumentation and control systems. **Responsibilities:**? As a Power Plant Apprentice, the incumbent will participate in an apprentice training program designed to provide knowledge, skill, and experience needed to qualify for Power Plant Electric and Instrument Technician. * Perform tasks under the general direction of supervisory or journeyman level workers, including installation, calibration, testing, and maintenance of power plant electrical or instrumentation and control systems. * As a Journey-Electrician & Instrument Technician, the incumbent will install, calibrate, repair, adjust, inspect, and perform preventative maintenance on electrical power plant equipment and power plant instrumentation and control systems. * Work is performed in accordance with established policies and procedures, and may be required to work outside of regular hours, including on-call and overtime. **Qualifications:**?
