QA Engineer Intern

About the role:

Vistar Media has created a 9-week program, where students will gain hands-on working experience and knowledge about the advertising technology landscape, as well as the opportunity to collaborate with different departments within Vistar?s organization. We?re looking for college students who are passionate and eager about the innovative media industry.

Our summer interns will work 3 days per week for the duration of the internship program and will be expected to be in the office twice a week (Tuesday and Wednesday). The internship will run from June 9th until August 13th.

Our team is growing in Philadelphia! A QA Intern at Vistar Media will assist in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software by executing test cases, identifying bugs, and collaborating with developers to improve test coverage. They will gain hands-on experience with automated testing using TypeScript and Cypress, helping to build and maintain test scripts for our web applications. This role offers an opportunity to learn industry best practices in quality assurance while contributing to real-world projects in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

What you?ll do:
? Learn about the various roles and responsibilities of a QA Engineer
? Dive into the DOOH industry and learn how Vistar operates as a product and business
? Support QA efforts by planning, developing, and executing automated and functional tests against back-end RESTful APIs and front-end web applications
? Troubleshoot issues, report on findings, and escalate issues as necessary
? Understand the value derived from releasing quality code rapidly to production and when to iterate on the results

Who you are:
? Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
? Familiarity with JavaScript or TypeScript, with an interest in learning automated testing frameworks like Cypress
? Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to document and communicate findings effectively
