Compensation Range
The base pay scale for this position is $25.83 - $39.43. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
What you will be doing
The first essential aspect is managing the documentation of research projects: submi ssion and maintenance of IRB documents, and project status monitoring.
The second essential aspect is managing basic patient data collection. This include s organizing the photo database with patient photos and radiographs. It also includes calling patients to administer surveys before and following surgery. The data is stored in REDcap and other spreadsheets and databases.
The advantageous aspect of the research coordinator position is writing research manuscripts and preparing presentations for academic conferences. A highly skilled research coordinator will be able to be highly participatory in the consolidation of data from surveys, photos, radiographs, and the patient record; then analyze the data as appropriate for specific projects; then, with moderate supervision, assist in writ ing manuscripts and prepar ing presentations focused on the specific intent of the project. A highly contributory research coordinator would merit author credit on such presentations and manuscripts.
The research coordinator should expect to be in the office a minimum of 1-2 days each week for Thursday morning academic conference, and on another day many weeks to facilitate other in-person tasks. The other days the research coordinator generally can work from home. An opportunity for the research coordinator would be to shadow intermittently in the office, to become more familiar with patient care.
A competitive candidate for this position should meet the following criteria :
? Excellent interpersonal skills to be comfortable working with patients and doctors and other medical office employees
? Excellent p roficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and general Windows /PC usage
? Basic familiarity with simple photo and video editing
? Fundamental proficiency with performing statistics using R Studio or Python
? Has a basic knowledge and understanding of electronics and AV equipment
? Is highly self-motivated, has excellent time-management skills , can work autonomously
We are looking for someone who is willing to fill this position for a minimum three year commitment. A Bachelor? s degree with experience in research, healthcare , and/or the sciences preferred.
