The Coalition of Finance Ministers for Climate Action was established in 2019 with six core areas of focus. The Secretariat, hosted by the World Bank's Climate Change Group and the International Monetary Fund, brings together people and knowledge from other groups within the institutions to support the Coalition's work.
Roles and Responsibilities
The Secretariat supports the leadership, work, and efficient functioning of the Coalition. This includes providing administrative, logistical, technical, and strategic support to the Coalition and Co-Chairs in achieving its objectives.
The Secretary leads the performance of the Secretariat's tasks and duties as outlined in the Coalition's Charter. They serve as the central focal point towards the Coalition members and partners, providing strategic and operational guidance to the Coalition leadership (Co-Chairs) to deliver on its mission and effectively implement its objectives.

? Serve as the central focal point towards the Coalition members and partners.
? Provide strategic and operational guidance to the Coalition leadership.
? Be responsible for effective team management of the Secretariat staff members.
? Deliver towards meeting the Coalition's overarching goals.
? Maintain strong relationships and build productive partnerships with Institutional Partners.
? Foster strong relationships inside and between the World Bank and IMF.
? Be responsible for the yearly monitoring and evaluation process of Coalition activities.
? Coordinate internally with relevant World Bank units regarding their contributions to the technical areas of work of the Coalition.
The ideal candidate will possess an advanced degree in finance, economics, or similar field relevant to the Coalition's mission. Prior experience working directly in (or closely with) Ministries of Finance, possessing deep understanding of the roles and functions of Ministries of Finance, is required. The candidate should have proven leadership skills and solid management experience, leading prior relevant initiatives, organizations and/or teams in the public sector, climate, or finance-related space.
