Performad hoc requests as directed by on-site management. Prepareand coordinate and receive incoming shipments. Compare packing lists withpurchase details to ensure accurate make, model, and quantities are received.Receipt SRM. Performremote hands support e.g. power cycles, physical equipment and cablinginspections, swap out failed components, testing of copper and fiber cables,handle storage media, and enter troubleshooting commands. Performhardware installations ? rack / stack. Performcable installations (routing, terminating) and testing. Performhardware cabling troubleshooting ? Support Service Manager processes (e.g.Service Request, Incident, Change) by creating, updating, and closingassociated tickets. SupportPower Maintenance Events (PME) ? active involvement in the planning through anassigned role. Trackand maintain adequate sparing levels. Performphysical audits and ensure the Service Manager database is updated andaccurate. Collaborateand maintain business relationships in order to meet and exceed clientexpectations with respect to business as usual and project activities. TECHNICALSKILLS Abilityto learn new technologies with an interest in expanding and applying thisknowledge as new emerge. Ableto lift 50 lbs. Workingknowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office suite, especially Word and Excel. Thoroughunderstanding of cabling best practices (EIA/TIA-568 standards). Thoroughunderstanding of IT hardware skills (HP, Cisco, etc.). ? Working knowledge ofnetwork cabling diagnostics and testing practices. Goodunderstanding of LAN/WAN/Telephony concepts e.g. TCIP, switches, routers,vLANs. Generalunderstanding of the concepts of electrical theory with respect to hardwareinstallations e.g. single phase, 3 phase, amperage, receptacle types.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basic analytical skills. OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIESUses personal computer and / or PDA for work order system, email, ESS and training. Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook. Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
