American Airlines is hiring a Staff Assistant I, Inflight based in Philadelphia, PA. This role involves performing various administrative duties to support Flight Attendants and Inflight management in daily operations. The position is part of the staff assistant team within the Inflight group.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Staff Assistant I, Inflight, you will be responsible for responding to Flight Attendants' general questions in person and by phone, filing expense reimbursements, handling mail and FedEx, and providing tablet support at the Crew Service Centers. Your duties will include assisting in the coordination of Flight Attendant parking and Crew IDs, ordering supplies, maintaining the e-board in the crew rooms, and working at the Crew Service Center to coordinate and resolve Flight Attendant queries. You will support Operations Coordinators with all aspects of the Inflight operation, ensure office and crew room computers and equipment are in working condition, and assume all administrative functions in the absence of an Operations Coordinator.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or GED equivalency and at least two years of experience with PC, Sabre, DECS, and RES. Current or previous Inflight or Crew Scheduling experience is preferred. The role requires independent judgment and decision-making skills, as well as knowledge of working with contract labor groups. Candidates must be able to work all shifts, including holidays and overtime, with rotating shifts and days off. Additionally, they must pass FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable.
