Customer Service Associate (Part-Time)

Description

We’re looking for a part-time team member to support our distribution customer service and quotation efforts in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment. This role is ideal for someone who’s highly organized, communicative, and comfortable juggling a variety of tasks. You’ll assist with order entry, provide accurate lighting quotes, and support our sales and customer service teams with a focus on lamps & ballasts, and standard fixture orders.

    About The Role
  • Enter and review orders through manual data entry and/or system-generated uploads
  • Provide accurate quotes for simple fixture, lamp and ballast requests
  • Communicate lead times, tracking updates, and order details to sales reps, distributors, and manufacturers
  • Deliver excellent customer service—digitally and by phone—by responding to inquiries and providing timely updates
  • Maintain organized job files and monitor quote request activity
  • Collaborate with sales team members to ensure customer needs are met and expectations aligned
  • Perform general administrative tasks as needed

Where & How You’ll Work

In this hybrid role, you can expect a combination of days spent working remotely from home and in the Baltimore office.

Requirements

    TECHNICALLY SPEAKING, YOU HAVE
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience in customer service, quotations, and/or administrative duties within the lighting industry
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software
  • The ability to work independently, prioritize simultaneous assignments with accuracy and efficiency
    BONUS POINTS FOR HAVING
  • Prior experience in the lighting industry (sales rep, manufacturer or distributor)

Compensation

This regular part-time position is classified as hourly, non-exempt.

The information below reflects the anticipated initial base rate/salary range. Should an employment offer be extended, the compensation offered will account for several factors, including but not limited to experience, skills, education, certifications, etc. Depending on an individual's job-relevant qualifications, the range may be exceeded.

Hourly range: $20-$24 per hour.
