- Perform Quality activities for Advanced Nuclear project activities for compliance to regulatory, customer and GEH internal requirements.
- Work proactively with cross functional teams to define specific quality requirements and processes to ensure products and services meet the GEH and customer quality requirements.
- Work to resolve quality concerns through use of the corrective action program including performance of causal analyses.
- Execute project quality oversight through the conduct of project surveillances and internal/external audits.
- Apply quality and technical knowledge, best practices, lessons learned, and practical experience to the analysis, investigation, and solution of complex problems.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of project quality control plans, supporting procedures and project execution infrastructure for associated activities.
- Represent GEH as the main point of contact for GEH Quality organizations, interface between customer and internal partners, lead customer quality meetings, and site representation.
- Provide training to individuals in quality related activities.
- Lead the execution of project oversight program including the performance of surveillances, supporting internal and external audits, performance of root cause analyses and non-conformance assessments.
- Review of condition reports and key performance indicator information to identify trends and develop recommendations for performance improvement.
- Provide training and mentorship to individuals in quality related activities.
- Bachelors degree in science or engineering discipline from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 7 years of related professional work experience in a nuclear quality assurance related capacity.
- High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years of related professional work experience in a nuclear quality assurance related capacity.
- The preferred work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters in Wilmington, NC; but highly qualified (US based) remote candidates will be considered.
- Proven experience in complex projects and providing quality guidance/direction to contributing functions.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to create technical reports suitable for a wide range of audiences.
- Experience with problem solving methodologies, Lean and other related quality methodologies.
- Demonstrated knowledge of 10CFR50 Appendix B, ASME NQA-1, ISO 9001, CSA N286-12, CSA N299, and other quality assurance standards.
- Knowledge of nuclear industry technologies (commercial light water, advanced and small modular reactors).
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a customer focused team environment.
- Familiarity with Root / Apparent Cause Analysis tools and techniques and ability to qualify as an analysis leader.
- Ability and willingness to travel to other GEH/GE, customer, and supplier facilities/sites.
- Demonstrated self-starter possessing strong initiative and teamwork skills.
- Demonstrated desire to be involved in a rapidly changing and challenging work environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, communicates messages clearly and concisely with the ability to make decisions with speed and accuracy based on best available information / ability to sift through complex information and focus on critical few priorities.
- Experience interacting with senior leadership at customer and regulatory organizations.
- Demonstrated desire to be involved in a rapidly changing and challenging work environment.
