Job description: TX-STAR Speech Language Services has been serving schools since 2010 and is currently partnered with over 40 school districts plus a multitude of agencies and regional cooperatives. TX-STAR’s background of working with all disciplines within Special Education departments provides us unique insight into serving various districts and making strong matches between our contract service providers and the campuses and student populations they get to thrive in.Through our partnerships with a growing number of Texas schools, we are continuing and actively recruiting for the start of and all through each school year!We are seeking bilingual (English/Spanish) Virtual Licensed Specialists in School Psychology (LSSP) to provide remote assessments and consultation for students of various ages with diverse learning needs. Our Virtual LSSPs will work with schools across Texas to conduct evaluations, collaborate with educators, and support students in achieving their academic goals.RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct comprehensive virtual assessments and evaluations of students to determine eligibility for special education services.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in collaboration with school teams.
  • Provide virtual consultation to teachers, administrators, and parents regarding appropriate interventions and supports.
  • Conduct re-evaluations of students as required by federal and state regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, evaluations, and IEPs in accordance with ISD and state regulations.
  • Participate in virtual IEP meetings with parents, teachers, and school teams.
  • Use digital assessment tools and teletherapy platforms to deliver high-quality services.
  • Provide guidance on behavior intervention strategies and classroom accommodations.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Master’s degree in School Psychology or a related field.
  • Valid Texas certification as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a School Psychologist in a school setting.
  • Experience conducting virtual assessments and utilizing digital testing platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations regarding special education services and assessment practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting with strong time-management skills.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required.
  • Must have a stable internet connection and a quiet, professional workspace.
