Job description: Job DescriptionUS Lead, Medical Modernization – V&IReporting to the Head of Strategy Realization, Medical Modernization, the US Leader for Medical Modernization (MM) will oversee the development and implementation of new content, tools and scientific engagement capabilities for the V&I organization. The US lead will work directly with the Global and US TAs to assess and prioritize TA needs and construct for digital communications to US SL/KDMs and oversee the E2E implementation of these digital communications. The US lead will help transform scientific engagement by implementing a digital communication strategy for SL engagement, aligned to local rules and regulations. The US lead will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including US Medical Affairs (USMA) Leadership, Global Medical Scientific Affairs (GMSA) TAs, US Field teams, GSVC, GMVC Ops, CSEE (Center for Scientific Exchange Excellence), Omnichannel, ACE (Analytics Center of Excellence), our Company Research Laboratories, and HH IT, and Legal and Compliance, to oversee implementation of new content and channels for medical communications and new tools to enhance field medical SL engagement capabilities. The US lead will inform the annual Global Medical Modernization strategy and plan, sharing and scaling best practices and modernizing the way that V&I teams work within the US. Lastly, the US lead will be critical in our change management efforts by communicating and supporting new ways of working across the regions, and inspiring others to adopt innovative ways of working as we shape and transform our V&I engagement strategy.Responsibilities

- Delineate the US medical modernization strategic focus and priorities across all V&I therapeutic areas (TAs) and oversee the E2E process of implementation of digital solutions including medical omnichannel and other field medical capabilities in support of scientific exchange.
 - Partner with the Medical Modernization EMEAC Leader and other future regional MM leaders on TA scope and strategic focus of Medical Modernization initiatives.
 - Represent the US Medical modernization voice at various cross-functional teams and be the US POC for cross-functional stakeholders.
 - Responsible for identifying, evaluating, and driving adoption of digital communication strategies that address external SL engagement and medical education objectives and gaps to establish a best-in-class technology-enabled V&I organization.
 - Support change management efforts to ensure advocacy for new & emerging technological capabilities such as digital scientific communications, the Company Medical Portal, and novel field medical engagement tools.
 - Communicate, influence and inspire others to drive medical modernization efforts and transformational change within US medical affairs, fostering a culture of continuous improvement to achieve long term success.
 - Partner with Global, US field medical, and GMVC teams to shape and locally implement a new medical modernization framework, working towards a next generation of scientific engagement.
 
- Pharm D, PhD or MD with 5+ years of Medical Affairs experience within a multinational-pharma company, and experience across enterprise-level organizations.
 - 2+ years of direct Scientific Leader engagement responsibilities and experience within the US.
 - Proven ability to work cross-functionally with various business units and senior leaders with the ability to influence and lead change while building strong alignment and partnerships.
 - Proven ability to develop and implement technical strategies for delivering medical and scientific content across multiple platforms, ensuring a cohesive and engaging engagement strategy with SLs.
 - Experience leveraging emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, digital health platforms, and advanced analytics to drive innovation in medical affairs.
 - Strong Compliance IQ and familiarity with regional regulations and standards for scientific exchange and corresponding international pharmaceutical codes and regulations governing external HCP engagements.
 - Strong project management skills with intellectual curiosity and the ability to create a vision as well as execute and lead complex strategic and operational initiatives in matrix structures.
 - Strong working knowledge of business processes, including strategic planning and budgeting, is highly desirable.
 - Well-organized, focused on results, capable of managing multiple projects with respect to priorities and charting a course for others.
 - Innovative thinker, entrepreneurial spirit, ability to identify and develop novel approaches to tackle daily tasks.
 - Strong communication and presentation skills.
