Emergency Medicine Residency Program – Assistant Program Director - Assistant/Associate Professor
- Assist the Program Director in the overall administration and continuous improvement of the Emergency Medicine Residency Program
- Provide strategic leadership and direction in resident education, recruitment, and professional development
- Collaborate in the design, implementation, and evaluation of the didactic curriculum, simulation, and longitudinal educational initiatives
- Provide regular feedback, coaching, and career mentorship to residents
- Oversee and enhance program evaluation and accreditation activities, ensuring compliance with ACGME requirements and readiness for site visits
- Serve as a leader on key residency committees such as the Clinical Competency Committee (CCC), Program Evaluation Committee (PEC), and Recruitment Committee
- Promote and model excellence in clinical teaching, supervising residents and medical students in the emergency department
- Engage in faculty development efforts, supporting the professional growth and scholarly activity of core faculty
- Assist with annual resident recruitment, interview day planning, and application review processes
- Represent the residency program at local, regional, and national meetings or committees to enhance visibility and reputation
- Maintain board certification and clinical practice as part of the College of Medicine Faculty Plan
- Contribute to scholarly activity in accordance with ACGME expectations for core faculty
- ABEM or ABOEM board certification in Emergency Medicine
- Academic credentials meriting appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor
- Full, unrestricted Florida medical license (or ability to obtain prior to start date) and current DEA registration
- Demonstrated excellence in resident education with significant teaching experience
- Minimum of 2 years of Core Faculty experience within an Emergency Medicine Residency Program, prior experience in residency program education administration strongly preferred
- Commitment to academic scholarship and ability to meet ACGME core faculty scholarly activity requirements
- Ability to engage with and support a variety of students, residents, and employees
- Candidate must have completed an emergency medicine subspecialty fellowship or hold an advanced degree in a related field
- Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications
