Job title: Title I Certified Academic Tutor Company: Geary County Schools Job description : To provide instruction in the reading curriculum helping students to develop the skills needed to be successful in elementary grades and be properly prepared to begin their secondary education. Professional responsibilities Follow contractual responsibilities Engage in reflective practice Maintain accurate records Communicate with families Engage in professional development activities Maintain appropriate licensure Collaborate with others to achieve a common goal PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES * Work with struggling readers using various strategies Implement the Read 180 program or AlphieÂs Alley program with elementary students Analyze data to design strategies for individual student improvement. Assist counselors and administrators in the placement of students into the various reading support classes Provide reading support during the building MTSS time Work collaborative with other reading support teachers Participate in building and district curriculum meetings / committees Keep up to date with the latest research in the Reading/English curriculum and instruction research. Attend professional development appropriate for personal growth. Uphold and enforce Board policies, administrative procedures, school rules, and federal and state regulations including but not limited to Consolidated Plan for Federal Programs Acceptable use of technology Sexual and racial harassment Child abuse reporting * All other duties as assigned. Term of Employment: Teacher Contract Salary Range: Determined by the employeeÂs placement on the teacher salary schedule. Evaluation Frequency: Job performance will be evaluated a minimum of 1 time per year.
