Job Title: ITProject Manager

Department: USConnect Operations

Reports To: Director of Program Management

FLSA Status: Exempt

Summary: Collaborate on the architecture design, contributing to the software and hardware development process improvement, under the guidance from the PM team leader. This role asks for creative thinking, collaboration, and the passion for delivering great software solutions.

    Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
  • Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
  • Delegating tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete them
  • Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
  • Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
  • Communicating with executives or the board to keep the project aligned with their goals
  • Performing quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected
  • Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change
  • Work collaboratively with external development teams on solution development of all aspects of the system
  • Manage the day to day management of projects in coordination with the lead PM
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in either business or management. Strong preference for candidates with certifications in addition to their education, such as the Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute. The American Society for the Advancement of Project Management also offers Project Manager and Senior Project Manager certifications.

Language and Oral Communication Skills:

Experience troubleshooting problems, finding and implementing solutions. Highly organized with attention to detail. Strong customer service experience and focus. Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions; Demonstrates group presentation skills; Participates in meetings and with colleagues.
