Please note that this role does not involve video editing or script editing.

Responsibilities: • Edit and publish a minimum of 8 movie/TV articles per day on the Movie/TV News team • Assure there is content to be published and planned on current News topics • Participate in writer development and general writer management • Oversee and facilitate writer communication in Slack/Asana • Send feedback to writers according to MovieWeb's standards (as per our writing guides) • Work with new writers to develop their skills... and help them adapt to MovieWeb's standards • Work with existing writers to develop those suitable for internal development (staff writing, self-publishing, editing) • Auditing Content Value and implementing best practices • Ensure daily and monthly News output goals are met • Ideation and news sourcing support • Must be available weekday evenings
