Job title: Standardized Test Prep Tutor Company: Within Reach Education Job description : Within Reach Education, an Atlanta-based educational consulting firm that provides college advising, test preparation, and academic tutoring, is looking to hire exceptional SAT and ACT tutors. Our Within Reach tutors work one on one with our students, and we train our tutors in the mechanics and delivery of our proven test prep strategies. We provide our tutors all practice materials and are highly responsive to any questions or needs that arise while they work with our students. Once we match our tutors with their students, tutors and students work together to schedule mutually convenient times to meet. During the school year, most sessions will occur during afternoons, evenings and weekends. Sessions can be scheduled remotely or in our Atlanta office. We prefer tutors who are located in the Atlanta area, as itÂs best to meet with students in person when possible or if requested. Many tutors and families may be traveling over the summer, necessitating more remote sessions. Tutors typically meet with each student twice a week, for a total of three hours per week, although schedules vary. We ask for a minimum commitment of three hours per week for our tutors, and there is no cap on maximum hours. After each session, tutors post session notes within 24 hours for both staff and parental review. Qualifications include: Teaching or tutoring experience preferred. Current teacher/tutor, graduate student or mature college student. Ability to establish rapport with high school students. Availability to tutor a minimum of three hours per week. Availability for some in-person tutoring. Proof of exceptional standardized test scores - 95th percentile or higher. Compensation is $30 to $50 per hour, based upon experience.
