As a Data Science Fellow for the Job Seeker Matching team, your technical leadership will play an integral role in accelerating improvements to our core search and recommendations platforms. You’ll be working across our retrieval, ranking, metadata, resume, and machine learning platform teams. Responsibilities • Identify, architect, and drive innovative machine learning solutions across the Indeed platform spanning multiple teams and organizations • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to clarify requirements and plan large-scale projects • Partner with senior leadership to develop and influence our long-term technical strategy • Guide and influence people at all levels of the company in delivering significant initiatives • Share expertise and mentor up-and-coming data science and engineering leaders • Propose and own initiatives that improve the efficiency and productivity of the data science organization • Leverage hands-on machine learning engineering experience to dive into code and help deliver on projects as needed • Educate fellow Indeedians on data science and machine learning engineering best practices and help bring others along with you • Foster external partnerships, stay updated with industry trends and ensure our data practices remain at the forefront of technological advancements. • Engage with senior leadership to advocate an Artificial Intelligence (AI) first culture, driving key data initiatives and strategies across the broader organization. • Ensure data privacy, security, and ethical considerations in all data initiatives. Skills/Competencies • 8+ years of experience autonomously building, maintaining, and growing large-scale Internet machine-learning capabilities • Experience leading through influence and delivering predictable results in complex organizations • Experience communicating and influencing product, technical, and business direction across all levels of a large organization, ability to translate product direction into machine learning architecture and strategy • Effective and inclusive verbal and written communication to a variety of different audiences • Experience coding in Java, C, C++, or Go in backend development; Tensorflow, PyTorch, Sagemaker, or equivalent ML Platforms for model development; and Python or R for data analytics • Experience with SQL Databases such as Presto, AWS Athena, Postgres, BiqQuery, or equivalent • A Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field; or equivalent experience. Salary Range Transparency United States - Remote - $214,000-310,000 USD per year Austin Metro Area - $214,000-310,000 USD per year Seattle Metro Area - $241,000-349,000 USD per year New York Metro Area - $240,000-348,000 USD per year San Francisco Metro Area - $253,000-367,000 USD per year Salary Range Disclaimer The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
