Field Technician - DC (Overnight Shift 7:30pm - 4am)
About the position
Responsibilities
• Fabricates, installs, maintains, and repairs electronic, mechanical, and/or other types of components and equipment.
• Researches, evaluates, and develops solutions to problems.
• Performs maintenance of different types of equipment and infrastructure.
• Supports multiple motion control systems, automated inspection systems, automated mailing systems, Class IV lasers, and other production equipment.
• Collaborates with other team members to install new equipment or implement modifications requested by the customer/client.
• Tests equipment and systems to evaluate whether they meet compliance standards.
• Reports findings and provides solutions for any issues that may halt progression.
• Conducts thorough follow-up assessments and checkups of equipment and makes recommendations where applicable.
• Assists with all preventative maintenance and maintains any required documentation.
Requirements
• At least three years of experience supporting computer-controlled electro-mechanical machinery, particularly in letter printing and envelope stuffing.
• Experience working with optical systems (lasers) is a plus.
• Intermediate computer skills including configuring and troubleshooting are required.
• Good team player with effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and familiarity with using MS Office.

• An Associates of Arts/Associates of Science degree is desired.
