About the position The Principal IT Engineer Applications role focuses on translating business requirements into software solutions, contributing to the technical direction of integrated business applications, and serving as a technical expert for project teams. This senior-level position emphasizes collaboration, problem-solving, and the application of both DEVOPS and Agile methodologies to deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable software solutions. Responsibilities • Conducts or oversees business-specific projects applying deep expertise in the subject area. , • Promotes adherence to all procedures and policies while developing work plans to meet business priorities. , • Coordinates and delegates resources to accomplish organizational goals and solves complex problems. , • Builds relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and communicates information to drive projects forward. , • Translates business requirements into physical program designs and stable application systems. , • Serves as a technical expert for project teams throughout the release schedule of software solutions. , • Collaborates with architects to ensure functional specifications are converted into maintainable solution designs. , • Provides expertise and guidance for systems incident responses and troubleshooting. , • Leads systems incident support and troubleshooting for complex issues. , • Develops and validates complex testing scenarios to ensure software solutions meet functional specifications. Requirements • Minimum five (5) years experience in project implementation applying development life cycles (e.g., SDLC). , • Minimum two (2) years in a technical leadership role. , • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field with a minimum of eight (8) years experience in software development or a related field. Nice-to-haves • Two (2) years of experience interacting with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above). , • Four (4) years experience in systems analysis, including defining technical requirements and performing high-level design for complex solutions.
