Generalist Gameplay Programmer
R16 Interactive is a lean, high-caliber team building Tale’s Edge, a gritty action-adventure RPG set in a shared universe of dark, reimagined Grimm’s fairy tales. We’re part of the AA resurgence: grasping AAA polish while executing lean and in the open as an independent studio. We value hunger, bold ideas, and the grit it takes to make a game worth playing.
The Role:
We need a programmer who can move across gameplay systems without friction — tackling 3Cs, quest logic, combat tweaks, or UI polish with equal precision. Someone who loves challenges and collaborating with sharp-minded teams.

Responsibilities:
• Implement and iterate on gameplay systems in Unreal (Blueprint & C++).
• Contribute to features across disciplines — from AI behaviors to quest/dialogue systems – willing and able to wear multiple hats.
• Debug and optimize systems for performance and scalability.
Requirements:
• Proven credits on at least one shipped PC/console title.
• Expert Unreal Engine skills (Blueprint & C++).
• Strong grasp of gameplay systems architecture.
