About the role:
Turing.com is looking for a Lead Python Developer who will be responsible for leading a small team, build database schema, produce new APIs, and maintaining a strong focus on software development best practices.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with other developers to build database schema, produce new APIs, create dynamically structured apps, and enhance system performance.
- Develop top-notch software based on product specs.
- Support industry best practices while directing, mentoring, and leading a group of engineers.
- Do peer code reviews to help us all become more skilled.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a Python Developer
- Demonstrable experience working with PostgreSQL, Git, REST/RESTful APIs, and Python (Django)
- Extensive experience with RESTful services and the creation of high-performing endpoints
- Nice to have some knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience working with Redis, Celery, RabbitMQ, DreamFactory, and DataDog is desirable
- Competency with CI/CD pipelines and Git Flow code management practice is preferred
- Nice to have certain leadership qualities that can be seen and drive team results
- Good delivery track record demonstrated by responsibilities and complexity growth is desirable
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills, especially when it comes to technical analysis
- Experience with Agile, Jira, Confluence, Slack, Google Documents, and other similar management technologies is nice to have.
