About the Position:
Ashland Theological Seminary, a graduate division of Ashland University, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in our CACREP-accredited Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching core and advanced clinical counseling courses, mentoring and advising students, and participating in scholarly activities. A strong commitment to the integration of counseling and the Christian faith is essential, as well as a demonstrated ability to succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach core and advanced clinical counseling courses focused on addictions counseling
- Mentor and provide academic advising to students
- Participate in scholarly activities and serve on departmental and Seminary committees
- Work collegially with faculty, staff, and local stakeholders within the counseling profession
- Assist with promotional events and activities, and carry out special projects as assigned
Requirements:
- Ph.D. or equivalent in counselor education from a CACREP-accredited program
- Ohio licensed or licensed eligible as an LPC or LPCC and LICDC
- A record of successful experience in higher education and/or other educational environments
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to servant-leadership
- Demonstrated ongoing involvement in the counseling profession and a level of Christian experience/maturity
