Job Title: Pathways Coordinator for Educational Excellence (Managerial Tier C) - Boston Public Schools

About the Role: The Pathways Coordinator will report to the Director of Alternative Education and work closely with the Office of Career and Technical Education and the Office of Postsecondary Initiatives. Your primary responsibility will be to cultivate and foster positive working relationships with higher education partners, work partners, and other intermediaries to build programs and activities that result in college and career readiness for our students. You will facilitate the development of partnerships with community-based organizations, conduct program assessments, and ensure that partners align with school and district priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the involvement of students in creating and participating in college and career pathway programs with partners
- Develop partnerships with community-based organizations to provide academic support, enrichment programs, internships, summer employment, and other services
- Conduct program assessments and work closely with faculty and partners to improve the quality of programming and services
- Ensure that partners align with school and district priorities and expectations
- Work closely with the Family Outreach Coordinator or Parent Coordinator to increase family/school connections and better engage parents in their children's learning
- Assist the school in the collection, analysis, and application of relevant data
- Participate in forums and professional development to deepen knowledge and skills and enable coordination of services
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred
- Minimum of three years teaching experience and/or leadership experience in educational, business, nonprofit, or public sectors
- Understanding of the Boston Public Schools, the local stakeholder community, and related federal and state educational policies
- Strong understanding of Alternative Education and student profiles
- Demonstrated experience with research-based instructional practices and curriculum design
- Experience analyzing data and using data to drive change
- Demonstrated experience with project management, including meeting deadlines to successfully achieve goals
