As a Lead Data Scientist, you will work closely with leaders from various business units to develop industry-leading analytical applications and solutions that enhance business processes, reduce costs, and improve return on investment.
The key focus of this role is to utilize CVS data assets and advanced analytics to uncover valuable insights and provide sophisticated analytical and data science solutions to our colleagues.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Translate business problems into modeling approaches, considering business requirements, data availability, development time, and scalability.
- Prepare data for analysis, working with data engineering teams to create modeling datasets and perform feature engineering.
- Develop AI, statistical, or optimization models, staying up-to-date with the latest research and technological advancements.
- Design end-to-end pipelines and solutions, collaborating with engineering and application development teams to scale and productionalize AI models and advanced analytics.
Required Capabilities:
- 2+ years of data science experience in a business setting, including collaborating with stakeholders to understand issues, gather business requirements, design data science models, and deliver results and insights.
- Knowledge of data management and model productionalization best practices.
- Experience applying AI libraries to address real-world data science problems.
- Proficiency in common modeling tools and frameworks, such as Python, R, Scala, TensorFlow, etc.
Preferred Capabilities:
- Experience working with financial data.
- Experience building applications.
