Remote Applications Database Administrator (DBA) - Join Our Team of Experts
Job Overview:
We're seeking an experienced Applications Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team at Workwarp. As a Remote Apps DBA, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Linux systems, Oracle Weblogic, and other database products. Key Responsibilities:
- Install, administer, troubleshoot, and harden Linux boxes (Oracle/Red Hat) to ensure optimal performance and security
 - Perform daily operations, including provisioning servers, installing agents, and configuring Linux services (e.g., nfs, ntp, snmp, httpd, nginx)
 - Provide Kastle support, including log interpretation, API connectivity, and deployment of EAR files
 - Manage Oracle Weblogic, OBIEE/OAS, JBOSS EAP/Wildfly, AMLOK, DMS, and other database products, including daily operations, service start/stop, and troubleshooting
 - Administer backup systems (HYCU, Qstar, Spectra Stack, and Media Tapes), including daily operations, validation, and restoration of backup data
 - Configure and monitor enterprise monitoring tools (Checkmk), including enrollment, agent/SNMP/API integration, and alert/ notification setup
 - Mitigate vulnerabilities by applying patches and workarounds, and respond to security team requirements
 - Participate in disaster recovery (DR) tests and drills, and document service recovery procedures
 - Perform health checks and configuration reviews to ensure system optimizations and periodic checks
 - Respond to incidents and requests, and submit change requests in accordance with change management processes
 
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in installation, administration, and troubleshooting of Linux systems (Oracle/Red Hat)
 - 6+ years of experience in Kastle support, Oracle Weblogic, OBIEE/OAS, and other database products
 - 6+ years of experience in backup administration (HYCU, Qstar, Spectra Stack, and Media Tapes)
 - 6+ years of experience in disaster recovery (DR) tests and drills
 - Strong knowledge of DNS, load balancers, Active Directory, Oracle DB, and MSSQL DB
 - Understanding of Linux firewall/SELinux, reverse proxy, and WAF traffic
