Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Provide expert guidance, coaching, and direction to a team of Maintenance Technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and achievement.
- Preventive Maintenance Program Management: Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs, including workforce management and resource allocation to ensure consistent and effective maintenance execution.
- Safety Advocacy: Champion safety initiatives within the team and across the site, promoting safe work practices and ensuring a secure working environment.
- Maintenance Procurement & Inventory Management: Oversee maintenance-related purchasing, optimize inventory levels of critical spares and supplies, and implement effective stock control measures to guarantee adequate availability for maintenance activities.
- Infrastructure System Expertise: Integrate, maintain, and troubleshoot all functional systems within fulfillment centers, including power distribution, automated materials handling equipment, transportation systems, and other operational hardware.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, actively participating in site initiatives, cross-functional teams, and control panels.
A Day in the Life:
Your day will involve leading your team to ensure the availability and proper functioning of essential equipment. This includes monitoring operational processes, enforcing adherence to safety protocols and procedures, and ensuring proactive maintenance is performed to maximize equipment uptime. You will identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance system efficiency and effectiveness. This role is based at one of our operational sites and requires flexibility in working shifts, including weekends and nights.
You will be responsible for analyzing operational data, identifying trends, and recommending data-driven improvements to maintenance strategies. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, such as operations and engineering, will be crucial to ensure seamless integration of maintenance activities with overall business objectives.
Essential Qualifications:
- Formal qualification as a Mechanical Fitter/Turner or a valid Electrical A-Grade license.
- Proven experience leading and managing multi-skilled teams within a fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Experience with automation or material handling equipment systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
- Proficiency in utilizing CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to schedule preventive maintenance and record reactive maintenance tasks.
- Experience in contractor management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of PLC-based control systems and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience with automated maintenance management systems for scheduling preventive maintenance and recording reactive tasks.
