Position Overview

Are you a dedicated Intake Specialist passionate about improving behavioral health outcomes? We invite you to consider joining our team at our new hospital. As a Patient Intake Coordinator, you will play a vital role in facilitating admissions by building relationships with referral sources, providers, and nursing staff.

Job Details

Setting: 64-bed acute inpatient facility

Programs: IOP/PHP oversight

Patient Population: Adults and Geriatric clients

Focus: Behavioral Health and Addiction Treatment

Approach: Acute intervention with short-term stays

Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming calls from referral sources, providing initial screening and information.
  • Complete admission paperwork accurately and promptly, ensuring all necessary information is documented for provider review.
  • Utilize the electronic medical records (EMR) system for data entry and information management throughout the intake process.
  • Coordinate effectively with providers and nursing staff to streamline admissions processes and ensure patient care needs are met promptly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency with computers and EMR systems
