Description Of Position
Northeastern State University invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor
position to teach Clinical Medicine III, in the Physician Assistant Studies Program at the
Muskogee campus. The adjunct faculty will be involved in content
development, lecturing, and exam writing ensuring the program meets expectations for
accreditation by the ARC-PA. The number of hours and types of activity will be specified
in a work agreement for each of the adjunct faculty positions.
Responsibilities
• Maintain knowledge of the profession, healthcare, and content areas of teaching
assignments
• Maintain office hours consistent with institutional policies
• Attend faculty and other meetings as invited
• Participate in and be familiar with learning content delivery methods used within the
university and program
Experience
Current NCCPA certification. A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience with
preference of individuals with experience in higher education.
Education Requirements
Licensed or eligible for licensure by the state of OK

Salary Commensurate With Experience Including Excellent Benefits. Adjuncts Receive
$1,250.00 per credit hour taught.

The College of Science and Health Professions currently has 76 full time and 18 part-
time faculty members in three academic departments: the Department of Natural
Science, the Department of Health Professions, and the Department of Mathematics
and Computer Science. The College serves approximately 1,100 undergraduate majors
in 13 different degree programs with specific areas of specialization in Molecular
Biology, Cellular Biology, Fish and Wildlife Biology, Organismic Biology, Chemistry,
Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Human Development, Early Care, Science
Education (Biology and Chemistry), Mathematics Education, Nutritional Science,
Speech Language Pathology, Nursing (RN → BSN & MSN-Education), and Medical
Laboratory Science (BS and MLT → MLS). These undergraduate programs are
complemented by graduate programs in Mathematics Education, Science Education,
Nursing Education, Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Pathology, and Physician
Assistant Studies. The College has a major focus toward pre-professional health
prerequisite preparation for careers in Medicine (Allopathic, Osteopathic, Chiropractic),

Therapy, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Radiation Therapy, Dosimetry, Photon
Therapy, Physician Assistant, Podiatry, Pharmacy, and Veterinary Medicine.
