Senior Associate/Principal Retirement Plan Advisor

The primary purpose of the Senior Associate/Principal in the Retirement Plan Advisory area is to provide advice and guidance for our Plan Sponsors and Participants we serve. The Senior Associate/Principal must be well-versed in the different dynamics of retirement plans, to include but not limited to plan implementation and conversions, plan design and investment strategies, creating and running retirement plan committees, and providing Participant education. The Senior Associate/Principal will engage, maintain and improve client relationships. Primary Responsibilities As a Senior Associate/Principal your responsibilities would include the following activities: Accountable to Cerity Partners’ clients to create, monitor and implement their company retirement plan Accountable to Retirement Plan Participants for providing financial advice and recommendations during enrollments, education meetings, scheduled one-on-ones, and by participant hotline and email Serve as a key primary retirement plan consultant for clients, meeting all service needs and achieving high levels of retention Serve as a secondary retirement plan consultant for selected clients Lead and/or actively participate in prospect presentations and guide new clients through the onboarding process Mentor and train colleagues on best practices in company retirement plans, client management, and business development Identify cross-department solutions for client needs and able to speak generally of other service offerings Accountable to the core team with which the advisor reports; ensuring that client and team tasks are completed correctly and timely Responsible for remaining abreast of changes to legislation impacting the retirement planning industry, and staying current on innovative retirement planning topics and trends Mastery of the technical aspects of retirement plans, basic financial consulting, and participant services to include enrollments and responding to participant calls and inquiries Implementation of retirement plan strategies, and competence in client relationships Mastery of client relationships, responsible for maintaining existing client relationships and bringing on new clients, lead plan presentations, advanced designation required Involvement in company committees and/or firm-wide initiatives Perform other duties as deemed necessary or as directed Ideal Candidate: 5-10+ years of industry experience Bachelor’s Degree required, focus in Finance/Accounting preferred. Series 65 Preferred Qualifications: CFP®, JD, CPFA, AIF, AIFA Working knowledge of Salesforce, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook a strong plus. Strong interpersonal and networking skills with both external clients and internal collaboration. Exceptional problem-solving skills, and ability to organize and prioritize work in order to meet deadlines in a proactive manner with little supervision required. Ability to work under pressure with shifting deadlines and priorities. High attention to detail and excellent communication skills in various formats (meetings, emails, phone calls) Proven organizational skills within daily tasks, prioritizing multiple projects, and team management.
