We are seeking a Temporary IT Programmer to support a project with the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE). Position Overview: The selected candidate will collaborate with the MSDE technical team to enhance the MARS system, an application utilizing .NET, JSON, Web API, MySQL, and Azure DevOps. The role requires hands-on experience with ASP.NET, MySQL databases, and data transformation. Key Responsibilities: • Develop, optimize, and maintain application code to improve scalability and performance. • Conduct system analysis, debugging, and documentation to support the project lifecycle. • Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, testers, database managers, and help desk staff. • Ensure seamless integration with the Orchard system while maintaining security best practices. • Utilize tools such as Jira, Visual Studio, and GIT for development and issue tracking. • Provide weekly status updates and attend regular stakeholder meetings. Required Qualifications: • Strong proficiency in ASP.NET, C#, MySQL, and Web API. • Experience with SQL Server Database and MVC architecture. • Familiarity with Azure DevOps for deployment and management. • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams. • Must be geographically located in the USA and available during standard business hours (7 AM 6 PM EST). • Experience with Web Accessibility Standards is preferred. Additional Details: • Interviews: 2 rounds (virtual and/or in-person). • Certification Requirements: Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) certification is preferred but not mandatory.
