Temporary Program Coordinator, National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y), Placement
About the position
Responsibilities
• Supports U.S. and overseas-based staff in implementation and daily operation of NSLI-Y programs
• Responds to inquiries from NSLI-Y participants and parents by phone and email
• Coordinates participant domestic and international travel arrangements
• Supports submission of participant student visa applications to various consulates
• Contributes to host family placement and reporting requirements
• Assists with event management of pre-departure orientations and other in-person program activities
• Collects and manages participant information across platforms, including careful data entry
• Contributes to development of participant materials, program reports, and events
• Performs additional administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English
• Outstanding attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills
• Ability to exercise good judgment and flexibility
• Ability to respectfully and professionally manage student information
• Demonstrated experience working with a high-volume of clerical and administrative tasks
• BA in relevant field (e.g. language, education, international affairs, area studies) preferred
• Study, work, or overseas travel experience in a NSLI-Y host country preferred.
