Research & Writing Intern
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Research & Writing Intern to support the organization’s mission through high-quality research, content development, and written communication. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate passionate about writing, education, and using research to support community impact.
Duties
• Conduct research on topics related to education, youth development, workforce readiness, and community engagement.
• Assist in drafting reports, articles, blog posts, policy briefs, and grant proposals.
• Write compelling narratives that highlight Legacy Premier Foundation’s programs, impact, and community initiatives.
• Support the development of event/program summaries, press releases, and official communications.
• Collaborate with the program and communications teams to transform research findings into accessible content for newsletters, websites, and social media.
• Ensure all written materials maintain consistent tone, style, and branding.
• Fact-check, edit, and proofread documents to ensure accuracy and clarity.
• Track and summarize current trends in education, social impact, and nonprofit sectors to inform organizational strategies.
Experience
• Currently enrolled in college or a recent graduate (English, Communications, Journalism, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or related fields preferred).
• Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Ability to synthesize complex information into clear and engaging content.
• Familiarity with academic databases, citation styles, and online research tools.
• Detail-oriented with excellent grammar and editing abilities.
• Passion for social impact, education, and community development.
Job Type: Internship
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
