This role works with K-12 educators, administrators, and staff to provide professional development activities and expert advice pertaining to the implementation of artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and virtual reality instructional technologies. This role facilitates the long-term success of the Frontier Learning Lab by delivering core programming to stakeholders. Examples of Duties and Responsibilities • Visit K-12 school districts across the State of Montana, both in-person and virtually • Deliver workshops, trainings, and demonstrations to K-12 employees and students covering the topics of artificial intelligence technology, augmented reality technology, and virtual reality technology • Conduct skills assessments and other forms of learning needs analysis with students, educators, administrators, librarians, and education support staff to inform the content of workshops, trainings, demonstrations, and curriculum • Design, edit, and contribute to public communications, such as social media content, that will represent the Frontier Learning Lab • Advise the Frontier Learning Lab Director of opportunities for improvement to procedures and educational content delivery • Maintain records of expenses in compliance with Montana Digital Academy standards • Maintain records of activities and participants to inform Frontier Learning Lab operations and activity reports • Monitor Montana Digital Academy Help Desk tickets, responding to tickets, referring tickets, and escalating tickets, as appropriate Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Educational Technology, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience • Two (2) years of experience in K-12 education, teaching, and/or working in a school that delivers instruction to K-12 students • Two (2) years of experience in educational technology, instructional design, and or digital education Programs • Experience as a classroom teacher, academic coach, or similar instructional role • Able to apply principles of adult education, childhood education, artificial intelligence, and augmented reality to the design and delivery of education • Able to provide service and consultation personalized to a client's needs • Able to identify possible solutions to complex problems and to select the best solution • Able to identify and assess the learning needs of trainees and students Preferred Qualifications • Four (4) years of experience in K-12 Education, Educational Technology, Instructional Design, and/or Digital Education Programs • Able to apply principles of data security and privacy to prevent unauthorized access to personal information • Able to apply principles of communication to effectively present textual, visual, audiovisual, and other information in a manner that elicits a desired response • Able to adopt, collect, and analyze data to assess the efficiency and efficacy of a program • Able to review the specifications of a software product and to assess the appropriateness of a software product for a given need or application • Able to apply technological accessibility standards to the creation and implementation of educational web content, software, and other technologies Additional Information Position is full-time, 1.0 FTE, Letter of Appointment and includes a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including insurance package, mandatory retirement plan, partial tuition waiver, and wellness program.
