About the position Responsibilities • Celebrate and support diversity by promoting an inclusive learning environment for all children, families, staff, and college students. • Provide responsive, relationship-based care and create a stimulating environment for children. • Develop creative and developmentally-appropriate activities based on children's interests that promote a passion for learning. • Build and cultivate partnerships and relationships with families, by maintaining open communication and supporting continual involvement. • Create a nurturing environment that promotes play and a sense of discovery and wonder. • Work in a collaborative relationship with families, other CDC staff, lab students, and college faculty. Requirements • Pediatric First Aid and Pediatric CPR cards, or proof of course enrollment. • Master Teacher Permit, or proof that your application to obtain your Master Teacher Permit has been submitted. • Transcripts showing at least three (3) semester units in infant care and three (3) semester units of supervised field experience in an Early Childhood Education/Child Development setting. Nice-to-haves • Experience working in a diverse educational environment. • Skills in developing curriculum and activities for young children. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
