Part-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

About Us: AAC Plus, Inc. is dedicated to creating innovative tools for individuals with communication challenges. Our flagship AAC app is designed to empower non-verbal individuals, particularly children, by blending functionality with engaging, game-like elements. As we continue to develop and refine our app, we are seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. This role is remote, so excellent communication skills are especially important to ensure smooth collaboration within our team. Responsibilities: Review and approve blog posts to ensure accuracy, clarity, and clinical credibility. Assist with social media content creation (scripts will be provided), including participation on camera—so being comfortable and confident in front of the camera is essential. Test and evaluate the AAC app to ensure its effectiveness, functionality, and user-friendliness. Provide expert feedback on app features, including grids, games, vocabulary, and interactive elements. Collaborate with the development team to suggest improvements, share ideas, and help resolve potential issues. Assess app compatibility with various user needs, especially for children with speech and communication disabilities, ADHD, and other conditions. Actively contribute ideas not only for the app but also for new ways to promote sales and outreach—our company culture values and encourages employee input. Participate in virtual team meetings to share insights, feedback, and creative ideas. Conduct occasional usability tests with your clients or peers (if applicable) to gather additional user perspectives. Qualifications: Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP preferred). Experience working with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices or apps. Strong understanding of the needs of non-verbal individuals and their families. Comfortable creating short video content and appearing on camera. Excellent communication skills, especially in a remote setting. Open-minded and creative, with a willingness to bring new ideas to the table.
