Assistant Vice President, Political Risk & Structured Credit

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Political Risk & Structured Credit team at Marsh. This role will be based in Singapore. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.You will get to be part of Marsh’s Political Risk & Structured Credit (PRSC) team in Asia taking a key role in the management, servicing and growth of existing client accounts.
We will count on you to:
- Management and servicing of key PRSC accounts and be responsible for key deliverables and revenue.
- Assist the team in the development of new PRSC prospects / opportunities, either independently or with support from team heads, and contribute to an annual new business target associated with this.
- Prepare market submissions on new transactions, consolidate feedback for clients, negotiate policy wording and complete policy placement process.
- Maintain strong relationships with Specialties clients, colleagues, and insurance/reinsurance companies to efficiently communicate client requests.
- Monitor accounts (payments, collections, etc.) anticipating and preventing problems.
What you need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business / Banking & Finance / Accounting (or similar) preferred.
- 4 to 6 years of work experience.
- Having knowledge of principles of insurance would be beneficial.
- Possess broad technical knowledge across commodity finance, trade finance, asset backed finance and project finance transactions.
- Pro-active and able to work independently.
- Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- A self-starter with a proactive and energetic approach
