Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and engaging educator to fill the role of Part-Time Lecturer in Music Industry for the 2023-24 academic year. As a part-time lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the Music Industry program, developing curriculum, and mentoring students. This is an excellent opportunity to share your knowledge, skills, and experience with students and contribute to the school's academic mission.
Key Responsibilities
* Teach assigned undergraduate and graduate courses in the Music Industry program
* Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the school's academic goals and objectives
* Provide individual student teaching supervision and mentorship
* Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of the Music Industry program
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement new initiatives and projects
* Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with industry trends and best practices
Essential Qualifications
* Established regional, national, and/or international reputation as a music industry professional
* Experience as a music industry professional and/or educator
* Graduate degree in Musicology or related fields (preferred)
* Expertise and experience in the development of music industry curriculum (preferred)
* Strong teaching and communication skills
* Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with curriculum development and implementation
* Knowledge of music industry trends and best practices
* Experience working with diverse student populations
* Familiarity with UCLA's academic policies and procedures
