Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Associate, Collections Customer Assistance to join our team in a 100% work-from-home setup. As an escalation role, you will be responsible for specialty servicing of lease and retail accounts, investigating, analyzing, and resolving complex customer issues. This is an excellent opportunity to collaborate with our collections team and other departments to achieve a seamless customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough follow-up and research tasks to ensure effective problem resolution for escalated customer issues.
  • Handle phone calls and correspondence from customers with complex issues, providing timely and professional support.
  • Ensure that customer issues, disputes, and inquiries are handled within specified timelines, meeting operational requirements and goals.
  • Properly document account information and input data in the appropriate systems, maintaining accurate records.
  • Complete daily work activities to meet operational requirements and goals, actively participating in coaching and development sessions/trainings.
  • Collaborate cross-divisionally to achieve a seamless customer experience, supporting other departments as necessary to meet business needs.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of collections experience, with a strong understanding of collections processes and procedures.
  • Automotive retail and/or lease experience is a plus, but not required.
  • High school graduate; college degree preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet daily goals, with strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Keen attention to detail, with demonstrated problem-solving ability and excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Knowledge of commonly used terminology, policies, and procedures in the collections industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a call center or customer service environment, with a focus on resolving complex customer issues.
  • Familiarity with collections software and systems, with ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
