Key Responsibilities

  • Provide call center callers with timely, accurate, and customer-focused claim information, solicit information needed to perfect the claim, and consistently deliver a superior level of customer service
  • Document claim information in our system with a high level of accuracy and detail, easily understood by the user
  • Issue timely and accurate claim acknowledgement correspondence and process incoming documents with high coding integrity
  • Remain fully compliant with operational standards and meet or exceed call center operational metrics
  • Maintain a superior level of genuine caring and empathetic customer service throughout all interactions and take appropriate actions to earn the caller's trust
  • Anticipate customer needs and take action to provide proactive support and resolve issues efficiently

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Strong customer service experience in a financial services industry, with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a call center environment
  • Experience performing in a call center environment utilizing telephony-related production tools
  • Able to type 7,000+ KPH and meet strict attendance expectations and call metrics
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting and maintain a high level of productivity and efficiency
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, communications, or a similar discipline
  • Experience working with disability and/or life and/or leave claim information
  • Familiarity with claim systems and data entry software
  • Previous experience working in a remote or virtual team environment
