Job Overview and Key Responsibilities

The Director of Risk Management and Business Process Improvement will play a critical role in developing and implementing risk management and business process improvement strategies that drive business growth and excellence. The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Utilizing business or buyer department data to foster business procedures and risk management arrangements
  • Investigating structured and unstructured data and interpreting information using statistical, financial, AI, or business intelligence methods
  • Collaborating with technology and other groups on integration and implementation of risk management approaches and business procedures
  • Identifying and evaluating new data sources (controlled and non-controlled) that could add steady productivity to blithequark's products/services
  • Applying industry and internal best practices and incorporating regulatory feedback on a case-by-case basis to drive continuous improvement in risk management techniques and systems

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess a Graduate degree in Finance, Statistics, Math, Econometrics, Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, and experience in risk and data analysis. Additionally, candidates should have at least 1 year of experience in each of the following areas:

  • Risk management
  • Interpreting complex analyses for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Working with technical, scientific, business, and non-technical teams
  • Cost-benefit analyses and developing and implementing business process improvement strategies
  • Project management experience, driving business change, and reengineering systems
  • Using MS Excel for financial and data reporting and modeling
  • Proficiency in Data bricks, Python, R, SAS, SQL, Tableau, Terawatt, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Unix

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

While not required, candidates with experience in the following areas will be highly competitive:

  • Advanced degree in a related field
  • Professional certifications in risk management or data analysis
