Responsible for providing second-level support to internal customers by resolving escalated complex technology issues. Proactively manage end user systems to ensure they meet technical and security standards.Essential Job Duties
Provide second-level support to employees or internal customers in resolving complex or escalated technology issues.
Ensure the proper day-to-day operation of internal technology applications and equipment.
Troubleshoot software and hardware issues on laptops, desktops, tablets, smartphones, servers, and/or network equipment.
Perform updates, repairs, upgrades, backups, and other maintenance tasks.
Ensure systems are in compliance with security policies.
Configure, install, maintain, and upgrade computer systems hardware and software.
Administer and maintain security of operating systems.
Restore files or systems by designing, writing, and implementing backup procedures.
Provide operational support for the organization's information systems and peripheral equipment such as servers, PCs, printers, mobile, and storage devices.
Perform recovery procedures, scheduling, and back-ups, and monitor batch processes.
Meet end-user needs by ensuring the uptime, performance, resource availability, and security of the computers are managed within established budgets and operational guidelines.
Automate routine tasks using scripting and writing basic computer programs to address more complex systems software configuration and enhancement.
May also handle phone and email assistance as well.
Assume other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Not responsible for supervising employees.
Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of related experience.
Advanced knowledge of technical systems including PCs, mobile devices, servers, network equipment, and/or applications.
Advanced knowledge of Office365 Administration and best practices.
Preferred Requirements
PowerShell scripting.
Microsoft System Center, MCITP, MCSE, or MCSA.
A+, NET+, SEC+ certifications.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
Demonstrate use of computer operations (programming, relational databases, and operating systems) and software packages.
Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills. May train others in functional areas, interact with others, and make presentations to departments or middle management.
Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive, and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.
Decisions generally affect own job or assigned functional area.
Results are defined; sets personal own goals and determines how to achieve results with few or no guidelines to follow; supervisor/manager provides broad guidance and overall direction.
Handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously with moderate complexity.
Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment
Work is primarily sedentary: must be able to sit for extended periods of time and use a computer, keyboard, and mouse, frequently.
Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements).
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
