Data Analyst/Software Tester

Primary Purpose: The successful candidate will learn the team processes, data and software required to test Car-Part?s iPro Analytics releases. This role is expected to grow into iPro Analytics QA Tester. Included tasks: Contribute to SDLC of iPro Analytics team by documenting requirements, decisions and releases. Work with team to deploy analytics releases as needed. Verify software, database and analytics updates that affect iPro Analytics by planning, executing, and documenting functional, regression, and performance tests.

Major Tasks and Responsibilities:

1) Learn team and company processes, data and software.

2) Learn and test data transformation processes that create data used by analytics.

3) Learn and test software functionality and workflow and its relationship to the data used by analytics.

4) Communicate and work well with team members.

5) Take initiative to learn and expand role

6) Attend and participate in team meetings

7) Determine test objectives by reviewing requirements.

8) Write test plans including testing methods, cycles, phases, conditions and test cases based on requirements.

9) Test capability and reliability by conducting functional, system, regression, and performance tests according to test plans.

10) Set up and maintain test environment including test data and equipment.

11) Determine if issues found are problems with the test itself and if so, resolve testing problems by correcting the test case

12) Use JIRA to manage and report defects per Car-Part standards

13) Recommend changes as issues are found.

14) Confer with management to revise test objectives and standards based on results from testing.

15) Contribute to team goals by organizing and maintaining team and release specific documentation.

16) Enforce and comply with Car-Part.com procedures, rules, and regulations.

17) Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

18) Write training documentation and work with other teams to train them on our new application changes as well as changes to existing applications.

19) Perform other tasks and have such other responsibilities as assigned by Car-Part from time to time

Education/Certifications Required: Bachelor?s degree or equivalent data science/software testing/debugging experience

Non-Essential but Valued Skills and Experience:

? Atlassian products experience preferred

? Tableau experience preferred

? Unix/Linux experience preferred

? Technical or business degree preferred

Knowledge of automotive, automotive recycling industry, or collision repair industry highly preferred
