Job Title: Experienced Enterprise IT Architect Leader Job Description: As the leader of Enterprise IT Architecture for Property & Casualty IT at Great American Insurance Group, you will be responsible for envisioning and articulating an IT roadmap that enables our uniquely structured company to be agile and efficient in core insurance capabilities across a wide range of commercial insurance businesses. As part of our delivery-focused organization, you'll work directly with IT Customer Engagement leaders, solution architects, and application managers as One Team to develop reference architecture patterns for core insurance systems and their underlying hybrid cloud infrastructure, assess our current technology landscapes for opportunities to inject AI, and design and deliver solutions leverageable by multiple lines of business. Key Responsibilities: ? Partner with IT Customer Engagement Leaders to communicate P&C IT's Enterprise Architecture vision, promote our core capabilities, gather feedback for updates to the EA roadmap, and assess customers' needs against current capabilities. ? Assess our current technology and data landscapes, identifying opportunities to enhance the capabilities of our core Underwriting, Policy Administration and Claims systems through increased automation, 3rd party data enrichment, and safe, ethical use of AI. ? Develop reference architecture patterns that leverage a hybrid cloud environment, scale for increased adoption of our core enterprise solutions, capitalize on advancements in AI and 3rd party data integrations, and are loosely coupled to enable rapid swap-in of new technologies. ? Conduct periodic lifecycle reviews to identify and make plans to address our technical debt. ? Lead and govern our Architecture Review Board to ensure alignment of solutions to patterns and best practices. ? Ensure our tech solutions comply with Corporate Security Baselines. ? Develop a detailed understanding of our current IT landscape and build business fluency across GAIG's many different business units. ? Collaborate with solution architects and application delivery teams to review and assess performance, adoption, and ongoing optimization of solutions post-production. Qualifications: ? Proven ability to lead a team of architects, articulate an overall EA vision, influence both technical and non-technical audiences to leverage our enterprise systems and drive modernization with a sense of urgency. ? Demonstrable track record of Enterprise Architecture success in insurance business-based IT, preferably commercial insurance, including producing reference architectures for policy administration systems, underwriting systems, and claims systems. ? Strong foundational architecture experience covering infrastructure, data, hybrid cloud architectures, Underwriting, Policy Admin and Claims systems and custom Cloud Native Development practices. ? Strong understanding of current technology and data landscapes in the insurance space, with the ability to identify gaps and opportunities in the systems supporting our specialty lines of business. ? Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong technical and data literacy with the ability to articulate, document, and design complex systems, and draw on outside resources to inform decisions.
