Job Overview
AI Center - Lean Process Business Analyst
The Lean Process Business Analyst in the AI Center is responsible for analyzing current state business processes using a Lean-based approach and assessing how processes could potentially be streamlined prior to the introduction of new AI technology. They will collect baseline metrics on required time, effort, and cost of current state processes so to set clearly-defined targets for improvement that can be used to measure the effectiveness of AI solutions. The Lean Process Business Analyst will turn current state challenges into AI-based opportunities and provide initial business requirements to the AI Center team for analysis and development.
The Lean Process Business Analyst will be performing ?pure? business analysis (what?the business needs) in a technology-agnostic way. Upon collecting current state, they will document and prioritize the business requirements in a user story format. They will work with the Delivery Lead and the AI Solution Engineer to develop the product vision and definition of done for an AI enhancement.
The Lean Process Business Analyst will work with a variety of users, from C-level executives to customer service representatives. The ideal candidate must have 10-15 years of experience working with different people at all organizational levels.
Responsibilities:?? ? Independently facilitate/drive Lean-focused current state, business process and business requirements analysis sessions with teams of varying size. This includes initial sessions and iterative reviews. ? Collect current state metrics to provide the baseline for improvement ? Support the development of the product vision for AI efforts and ensure there is ongoing project alignment with organizational and user business objectives ? Clearly convey the user challenges and opportunities for improvement to the AI team ? Become an expert in the business of our users, asking the right questions to fully understand what they do and why ? Develop functional user stories in Jira to support the product backlog ? Support testing efforts, as needed, to ensure the end solution aligns with business requirements ?
Requirements:? ? College degree required, Master?s degree preferred ? Lean, Lean/Six Sigma and/or and Six Sigma green or black belt certification required ? Passion for process analysis, problem solving, and technology ? Innate curiosity and desire to help users maximize their efficiency ? Avid interest in AI and ongoing AI advancements with passion for technology and ways in which technology can solve business problems ? Ability to get to the root of a problem through asking repeated questions ? Love of working with a variety of users across multiple business areas ? Ability to help others identify their true business needs and prioritize them (not simply take their ?orders?) ? Exceptional verbal and written communication skills (technical writing background is a nice to have) with ability to effectively communicate current state and business requirements without solutioning ? Exceptional facilitation skills to engage clients and make the analysis process a great experience ? 10-15 years of experience as a Business Analyst for a software team or in process analysis ? ?Eagle-eye? attention to detail ? Willingness to support other functional areas, such as testing, when needed ? Expertise in the following tools: Jira, Confluence, LucidChart, Teams ? Nice to have: MS 365 Copilot
