Crew Manager, Inflight Attendance

As a Crew Manager for Inflight Attendance at American Airlines, you will play a crucial role in supervising, directing, and coordinating the attendance activities of Flight Attendants. This position is part of the Flight Service team within the Customer Experience group, where you will be responsible for ensuring that attendance policies are adhered to and that Flight Attendants are supported in their roles. You will engage in various activities, including managing attendance reports, leading attendance conversations, and processing mitigation in line with company policies. Your role will also involve being the local contact for reinstatement and leave policy questions, including FMLA and medical leaves, and supporting local base operations and the local Association of Professional Flight Attendants (APFA).
Responsibilities
? Supervise, direct, and coordinate attendance activities of Flight Attendants.

? Work on and off Par reporting for assigned groups and transition Flight Attendants to Level 2+ when warranted.

? Lead all attendance conversations in base and update APS regularly with documentation.
,
? Process mitigation in line with contractual and company policy in collaboration with FSM and local base management.

? Act as the local contact for reinstatement and leave policy questions, including FMLA and medical leaves.

? Support local base operations and local APFA.

? Coach and counsel Flight Attendants to ensure understanding and compliance with all company and departmental policies, procedures, and regulations.

? Initiate appropriate corrective action, up to and including dismissal.

? Participate in task forces and planning activities to problem solve and plan the future direction of the department.

? Support various initiatives set by Flight Service.

? Ability to work shift work, including weekends and holidays.
Requirements
? High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
,
? Current Flight Service, Passenger Service or Passenger Sales experience is preferred.
,
? Flight Attendant experience is preferred.
,
? Knowledge and experience in American specific systems including SABRE, NAVIA, Case Manager, Attendance & Performance System/FlightCAPs.

? Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

? Excellent interpersonal, planning and organizational skills.

? Knowledge of working with a contract labor group.

? Ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects at the same time.

? Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable.

? Ability to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges.
