About the position

As a Retail Store Cleaning Associate at Marshalls, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and organized store environment, which is essential for providing a positive shopping experience for our customers. Your primary focus will be on floor care, which includes operating cleaning equipment such as scrubbers and buffers, as well as performing various cleaning tasks like dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows. You will be expected to adhere to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards, ensuring that the store meets the highest cleanliness and safety standards. In this position, you will also be cross-trained to work in multiple areas of the store, allowing you to support the business's needs effectively. This includes maintaining cleanliness in various sections such as the sales floor, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms. You will be responsible for upholding the company's health and safety policies, which includes refilling essential items in the lounge and restrooms. Your role will also involve supporting front-end coverage needs and participating in store recovery efforts throughout the day. We are looking for individuals who can embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect. You will be expected to communicate effectively with management and associates, adhere to labor laws and company policies, and maintain a safe working environment. Responsibilities
? Maintain a clean and organized store environment with a focus on floor care.

? Operate scrubber and buffer for floor cleaning.

? Refill essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end as per health and safety policies.

? Support and respond to all front end coverage needs.

? Participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.

? Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.

? Adhere to all labor laws, policies, and procedures, including meal and break period policies.

? Participate in safety awareness to maintain a safe environment.

? Perform other duties as assigned.
