Obtain and maintain a deep understanding of the merchandise sold within the store and have the ability to respond to queries and present product recommendations effectively. ? Responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, exuding amiability, and proactively engaging with and providing support to customers. ? We understand the importance of efficient service at the check lane, and therefore, we process transactions promptly, accurately, and with utmost precision. ? The designated timeframe for work must be adhered to as per the schedule. ? Authenticate the accurate payment for the items; provide appropriate change; manage checks, credit, and debit charges elucidated by relevant departmental processes for paperwork and accountable work. ? Possess a comprehensive knowledge of the Point of Sale system, enabling you to assist customers with using different payment methods, rain checks, complicated loyalty programs, coupons, and the checkout procedure as per the company?s regulations. ? Use any one of the following methods to enter sales data into the register: dragging the item across the scanning display, scanning it with a handheld scanner, or manually typing it in using a 10-key pad. ? Comprehend and follow the business's protocols for managing cash and strive to prevent loss by working diligently and with integrity. ? Abide by the norms and restrictions on products that have sales restrictions, including Fireworks, Alcohol, Tobacco, and Videos. ? Procedures aimed at mitigating inventory loss could include a thorough check of basket bottoms, the scanning of all merchandise to ensure inventory accuracy, refraining from manual sales entries, and properly executing closing procedures. ? Meeting productivity goals by completing transactions within the assigned time. ? Adhere to the company's standard procedures and alert the relevant authority if there are any pricing discrepancies. ? Keep yourself updated with the current, upcoming, occasion-themed, and limited-time advertisements. ? Your task is to provide customers with information about the various company directives, such as Kroger Personal Finance, customer service surveys, fuel points, and fundraising requests. ? Wiping down all surfaces of the checkout area plays a vital role in showcasing a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene for customers. ? Enhance safety standards by upholding safety protocols and procedures, and promptly alerting store management of any unsafe situations or potential safety hazards. ? Keep the management informed of incidents related to customers or employees. ? If you notice any risks to safety or illegal actions such as robbery, theft or fraud, it is essential that you report them immediately. ? Be certain to adhere to all company guidelines, along with the laws and regulations that have been put in place by the local, state, and federal jurisdictions. ? The smooth running of the business requires meticulous adherence to existing guidelines for managing merchandise, offering quality service to customers, regulating cash flow, managing labor, controlling expenses and supplies, preventing losses, maintaining infrastructure, ensuring safety and food sanitation, promoting employee engagement, and fostering customer rapport. ? The ability to perform the essential duties of this job is essential, with or without the need for accommodations.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM
? Mastery of checker training accomplished
? The ability to remain poised and composed under duress is a desirable trait
? Effective communication skills
? The mastery of these fundamental math skills is often a prerequisite for success in various professions, such as engineering, finance, and science
? Fulfilling the physical prerequisites of the role is a non-negotiable
? Only people who have reached the age of 18 or older are permitted to apply
