Chewy is seeking an Instructional Design Manager to lead a team of Instructional Designers within Fulfillment Operations. This role focuses on developing and delivering effective learning solutions that enhance operational consistency and productivity. The manager will oversee the creation of blended curricula and ensure alignment with daily operational needs, while also driving strategic learning initiatives to improve fulfillment center operations.
Responsibilities
? Manage a team of Instructional Designers and editors, ensuring their work aligns with departmental needs.

? Build infrastructure and processes to optimize learning solutions for business requirements.

? Ensure Instructional Designers have access to relevant subject matter experts and stay aligned with daily operations.

? Guide the development of new learning programs and enhance existing initiatives through effective design processes.

? Supervise the execution and ongoing improvement of learning programs and content.

? Develop the skills of designers in the instructional design process, ensuring they are proficient with current industry tools and technologies.

? Collaborate with external support teams to identify and implement business solutions and process changes.

? Work with internal teams to enhance performance outcomes and improve the team member experience.

? Drive strategies to optimize various learning methods across the company.
Requirements
? Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Instructional Design, or Information Technologies.

? Demonstrated ability to lead a creative design team.
,
? 5+ years of experience in leadership roles such as Program Manager or Training Manager.

? Expertise in project management methods and tools.
,
? Solid understanding of adult learning methodologies and ability to create results-driven learning infrastructure.

? Ability to work with cross-functional teams to implement new training processes and technology.

? Experience in managing short-term and long-term projects and deadlines.

? Demonstrated experience in learning systems integration.

? Proficient in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS).

? Proficient in current Learning Design software such as Articulate, Vyond, and Illustrator.

? Strong understanding of LMS content integration.

? Ability to thrive in a fast-paced distribution environment.
