Summary:
The Director of Human Resources understands the organization?s greatest asset is its people. This role will champion our team members? needs, wellbeing and professional growth. In this role, you will also lead the HR team in creating a supportive and inclusive workplace. This role demands a strategic thinker with a thorough understanding of employment law, HR policies, and best practices. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, engaging with executives, internal stakeholders, and direct reports to align human capital strategies with the company?s mission and business goals.
Key Responsibilities: ? Collaborates with executive leadership to define the organization?s long-term mission and goals; identifies ways to support this mission through talent management. ? Identifies key performance indicators for the organization?s human resource and talent management functions; assesses the organization?s success and market competitiveness based on these metrics. ? Researches, develops, and implements competitive compensation, benefits, performance appraisal, and employee incentive programs. ? Provides guidance and leadership to the human resource management team; assists with resolution of human resource, compensation, and benefits questions, concerns, and issues. ? Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements. ? Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management. ? Drafts and implements the organization?s staffing budget, and the budget for the human resource department. ? Participates in professional development and networking conferences and events. ? Implements and oversees employee recognition programs ? Develops training programs, annual review process, and structure for employee development ? Develops, reviews and revises program policies and procedures ? Administers and executes human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development ? Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff ? Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations ? Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance ? Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
? 5-7 years of experience in a human resources leadership role
? Bachelor?s degree in human resources, Business Administration or similar field
? Professional experience in e-commerce, sales, or call center environment is a plus
? PHR or SHRM certifications strongly preferred
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills
? Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
? Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
? Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
? Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
? Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
